❋
Comprehensive
Lunar Compass Academy is built around 6 Global Lenses, which build contextual knowledge for learners. The 6 lenses develop learners Identity and Mindset, Origins and Perspective, Creative Expression and Media, Systems and Innovation, Global Mechanics and Enterprise, and Ecosystems and Stewardship.
✦
Adaptive
The curriculum is designed to grow with learners. Each of the six lenses will be revisited year after year, with new Macro-Concepts at the heart of the inquiry. This enables learners to develop deeper and more critical thinking around issues as they grow, develop and learn.
✿
Mindset
Developing learners critical thinking skills and considering different perspectives is built into the curriculum. For each inquiry or project they complete, they will be asked to take on the role of one of six mindsets; The Investigator, The Critical Analyst, The Content Creator, The Ethical Leader, The Innovator, and The Self Regulator.

“
Lunar Compass Academy is fun, interesting and easy to understand. A cool project I have done that I really enjoyed was writing about the male peacock spider. Lunar Compass Academy is different than school because I have more input in what I learn. Since starting Lunar Compass Academy, I feel like I have gotten better at talking about what I like and dislike. If someone is thinking about joining Lunar Compass Academy, I would tell them to try it because they might end up liking it. I love being a Lunar Compass Academy student because I actually get a say in what I learn about.
